What are unusual places that people you have known or heard about had encounters with God in ?
When my wife was 12 yrs.old she repented and was baptized in The Holy Ghost in a laundry mat ,that a older couple was having church in.

There they can find plenty of fault.
Could a admin change the title of this thread to unusual places to have God encounters in ?

I was laying in bed listening to prayers being made at an altar service on a tape player forbidden by my church when the Holy Spirit came and prompted me to repent of my sins.
My life was changed.

That's Good Jane and SH.
I heard of a case where someone prayed through in a bathroom supposedly.

I may "own" the most unusual location. Or at least by far the most unexpected.
At the alter inside of a circle (yes, witchcraft). I did cast alone so there wasn't anyone else around at least. The power of God (that I hadn't felt in many years) fell so powerfully I was on my face before God. I didn't repent at that time, it actually took over a year before I walked into my church, and awhile after that before I did any repenting, but it did cause a discontent with where I was to begin growing. I only just very recently connected that to that experience.

God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ. ~Romans 3:24 from The Message

What a testimony of grace.

There was a woman who testified that God saved her from serious harm when the ceiling of her bedroom crashed on her bed. Her words were, "If it weren't for the back of my husband's head, the debris would have hit me in the face."
Need a visual with that?
