I love these holidays. It is a fun time to be with family, cook foods you don't normally take the time and extra effort to make.

It is NOT about the presents to me, although it is a time to show you care by taking the time to think of someone else besides yourself.

It comes from Christ's Mass...a celebration beginning when Christians didn't want to celebrate Roman Pagan Holidays...So Christmas was created to Celebrate the Birth of Christ.. which is fine by me...that we buy gifts for each and give to those less fortunate although generally done throughout the year is okay by me.. and of course the commercialism that has crept in...but as a Christian I feel confident that I am merely celebrating the Greatest Gift to Mankind since the beginning of time...The Birth of Jesus...God's Gift of Himself to Humanity...
So I celebrate Christmas...

a little step further. It was originally called mass of Christ instituted by the Catholic church.

Anyways I regress for now, maybe on the anti x-mass thread I post the errors of it.

It probably was....but it may be one of the only good things the Catholic Church has done...

We will continue to celebrate and enjoy the Birth of Jesus and the presents we give each other...

I thought the reason people don't celebrate Christmas is that they don't want to buy presents.
