Walking up to strange women in the ladies department store at Walmart and offering them a coat is a calling? Gee, glad it wasn't a new car dealership!
I think you know what I'm talking about!
Your calling is being extremely sensitive to the spirit and obeying. You have a kindness and gentleness that God has given to you to open doors.....this is necessary, because when you operate in the Spirit like you did in this situation, and approach total strangers - many of them would be leery or would not respond, UNLESS the anointing that God has placed on your life opens the door first.
I think many on this forum will agree with me that there is something special about you, OA - you are a peace maker and a bridge builder.
God has given you the anointing to build the bridges, minister to the hurting, and much much more - Revel in it!

Well, I don't know nuthin'; 'bout buldin' no bridges and don't know what the big deal is. I just felt to do what I did, and did it and thats it.
So, now...heres the rest of the story. Took my 6 month old granddaughter to Chattanooga for our first outting together. This is Kinzi Faye, the namesake of my Lola, the grand daughter Lola never got to see. Had a great day, had photos made and made her a teddy bear at Build a Bear. We put a little heart inside the bear, then put another heart in... that was Lolas heart. Ate and just had a grand old time! Also took Kinzie to meet her great grandfather for the first time.
Oh... I got ahead of myself- took the coats by and gave them to the woman. They asked me to stay and talk with them. They are Baptist but don't go to church. They asked me to tell them what Ibelieve and I told them a little. (Didn't have a lot of time).
Then... the bombshell that has me scared witless. They asked me to start coming to their home once a week to have a Bible Study. They want me to lead it. What am I gonna do? What have I gotten myself into? I told them I would think about it and would let them know. I wish I had a church here to send them to, cause...I ain't no teacher. And sho ain't no preacher. I just gather sycamore fruit. So... if anyone can advise me as to how to go about this, I'd apprecaite it. Better yet, anyone feel the call to start a church on Sand Mountain in Alabama?
NOTE to self: Stay out of the Walmart Ladies Department and mind your own business!
And BTW, the only thing special about me is the friends I have here at AFF!

Go to their house and do what God wants you to do!
Gideon wasn't a teacher/preacher either.
This is a God thing, my brother, and you don't need to try to figure it out. He started it, let Him finish it, he's just going to use you as His vessel.
Get off the bench, and get into the game, my friend!

Br. OA you can teach a Bible Study- There are several good ones- the one I am most familiar with is Search for Truth, but I am sure some of the other forum members can advise you. This may have been where God was heading when He sent you to Walmart. Step through the door that has been opened.

I suggest you go and visit and just chew the fat. Don't make it formal. What you think and what they think will come out.
