We have a Seder Service tonight at church.

After that, my oldest son will be leaving to go with his friend and his family to Gatlinburg for a week long vacation. I'm nervous about this. He's been away for camp many times, but this is the first time he's gone away with another family. I like the parents in this family alot. But their son - ooooo boy! Justin and I have had many discussions about this kid. He's a huge know-it-all kind of kid. He started the school year off in a new school by going to open house and telling the teachers what his IQ score is. Good grief!! And now he's failing all his classes because he doesn't bother to do the work. Geesh!!

I think I'll clean my daughters PIT of a room....

and if I have the energy, I'll tackle the PIT of my OWN room..

but it's not likely.

I'll clean the baby girls room and then I'll be majorly pooped...has anyone else seen lately what a 3yr old can do to a room?????

You have my sympathy.....

It's been 5 years since I've seen what a 3 yr old can do to a room. Now I know what an 8 yr old can do to a room-- and that's something that doesn't improve with age. You should see what a 13 yr old and a 17 yr old can do to a room they share.....

I think I'll take a picture of the 8yr olds room...I just close his door.

He's my step son and his dad lets him get by with his room being trashed b/c he's only there every other weekend (and his dad is a major wimp and feels some uncalled for guilt)....and on Wednesday nights (Long enough to dress for church, come home and go to bed)....so he lets him get by with it...

I just keep his door closed.

but I know what a 14 yr old can do to a room..

and a 36 yr old to the HOUSE

The 3 year olds at my house are all daycare kids now. And yep, I see what they can do to a room every single day. But they're also the only ones around here who know how to clean up after themselves. Imagine that!

I taught my 13 year old and my 17 year old to clean up after themselves back when they were 3 year olds. Just like I do the daycare kids. But do they do it now? Noooooooooo. I have to sit on them, take away privileges, etc, in order to get them to clean their rooms! Right now the 13 year old is better at it than the 17 year old. But I keep telling myself - he's almost a senior. Then he'll leave for college and you can clean that room and keep it clean. Until then, we just close the door. Some things are not worth making a huge battle over.

I need to finish laundry I started last night and do some cleaning and think about what I'm having for supper.
