We are not his judge...we leave those things up to Jesus. One day all of us will have our sins shouted from the housetops...but thank God for his blood that cleanses us and washes us white as snow.

Blessings, Rhoni

IF he makes it to Heaven he might get the room down the hall next to the noisy ice machine for all eternity.

There is an important distiction to be made here.

Those who live a lifestyle of sin are not the same as a person who is striving thier best to live above the sin nature that is in them.

We all have a sin nature. That will present itself very differently from one person to another.

A person who struggles with homosexualiity cannot be seen as an active homosexual.

you can be a saved Apostolic living an over coming life, and battle with temptation related to homosexuality.... so long as you are battling....

(I use the word 'you' to mean anyone not to single out any person)

Saved folk struggle (all of us struggle with something)
Lost folk embrace sin and make it a part of their lifestyle.

Am I the only one who finds it amusing that we can't say the "s" word in relation to ourselves, but we're very quick to apply it to others? Just an observation that I found amusing.

We struggle with "stuff", "words mispoken", even "actions unbecoming". C'mon. It's good 'ol fashioned SIN. S-I-N. Sin.
You're right, of course. Freudian slip!!! We all struggle with our "SIN"!

Re: Gay apostolics?

Well I know with all my struggles, I know that when I go to bed at night, I ask God to forgive me of whatever sin or transgression I have against myself, God, and others. If I make it, it will be because of God and His grace and no other. Thank you all. You have been kind in your posts. Jeff.

So yes, I contend that there are Gay Apostolics. If God loved them enough to forgive their sin and give them the Holy Ghost, I'm man enough to acknowledge them as part of the body. And if they fall, they are fallen brothers and/or sisters.

I don't know why we're going around in circles trying to qualify who's "worthy" of wearing the label "Apostolic" like it's some kind of honorary title earned by our own merits or something.

Now, I don't condone sin. But I will be friends with, pray with, and encourage gay Christians and even *gasp* gay people. But when the rubber meets the road I let them know, I believe it's a sin. They need to take it to God and pray for strength to overcome just like I do my sins.

I just felt like I had to speak up here.

God bless.
Very well said! You get a brownie button!

Re: Gay apostolics?

Well its certainly been a struggle. I've worked since I was 17. I'm a veteran 8 years in the USArmy. I've been a veteran in God's army for over 24 years. Preached for over 12 in the UPC. My family wrote me off and considered me dead in 2000. The UPC excommunicated me in 2003. I've been attending an independent apostolic church since, and they have been kind. You all are just wonderful and it's great to hear from all of you. I hope to be able to continue posting here about alot of great things. My interests certainly don't lie in one thing. I'm sure that I could contribute in so many other ways. Jeff.
