The Bible says its a sin for a woman to wear pants? I thought it said something different....
What did women wear in Bible days to differentiate themselves from men?

Re: Apostolic girls and sports
I agree with the principles of gender distinction. But I don't believe in twisting scripture to get it to say something it does NOT in order to support that idea. I don't need to lie about what scripture says in order to say I think feminine clothes are ideal for a woman.
Additionally, it's interesting that the only item of clothing seen as pertaining to a man (usually) is pants. Really? What about tube socks? Clunky shoes with shoe strings? Button down shirts with stiff collars? Suit jackets? Are there neutral items of clothing that either gender can wear? And if there are exceedingly strict rules, why aren't they mentioned in scripture--scripture which was plain enough to tell people what types of fabrics they could mix.
The TRUTH is, what type of clothing is feminine or masculine is largely cultural and ever-changing, and because of those two factors, must be left up to the individual saint to determine. The local church can also offer guidance in this area.
*mumbles something about teaching for doctrines the commandments of men*

Re: Apostolic girls and sports
Narrow is the way when you go to the hospital and have to have a life or death surgery and they have to put that "less than modest" hospital gown on you I guess you will not make it to heaven if you were to pass away, cause I promise you will not be in anything you consider modest.....especially if they try to revive you..So you might want to study that portion of scripture again....

Understanding, of course, that when these scriptures were written, both men and women wore skirts.

You need to be a good sprinter to chase after those toddlers!

I hope you understand I was being completely sarcastic.
And I do know people in my distant past who would have phrased it EXACTLY the way I did.

I know a few men in my not-too-distant past who truly agreed with the sentiment that women should be kept barefoot and pregnant.
