I intend to look up and trust no matter how bleak or how awful. I'm not saying I'll even do a good job. I just try and let God fight the battle. I am hoping and believing for a good outcome. God is good......all the time. My husband's prognosis is supposed to be good, but I have friends whose son died after fasting, praying and giving it all to God. In the end, unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it. I do believe my husband will be healed, but your answer doesn't seem based in solid biblical Christianity. Not that I don't appreciate the effort.

Dear Sis ILG,
I'm just trying to help you.
Matt 8:17 says Jesus has already taken our infirmities and borne our sicknesses.
1 Pet 2:24 says by His stripes we
were healed. Both these scriptures are past tense. That means God has already done the work. All your husband has to do is hear and hear these truths (because faith comes by hearing and hearing)
Rom 10:17. After he receives a mustard seed of faith, he should begin to say , " I am healed. " Not " I'm going to be healed".
Mark 11:23 says that whatever
he says with
his mouth and does not doubt in
his heart, but believes that what
HE says shall come to pass,
He shall have whatever
HE says.
You can see by that scripture that this is something he must do for himself, you cannot do it for him. You said that you can't control his healing. You are exactly right.
