The Spirit brings calm...

As I was reading Mother Alvear's post re the storm that was upon them night before last, I thought of the storms which come to our lives.

They can appear to be, and often are, as doom-filled as a severe thunderstorm.

Mother A said that the wind was wind was strong and they were without lights for a time, but that things were now calm.

The issues and situations...the problems which arise in our lives may be severe. The winds of uncertainty may howl, often bringing with them fear.

And though it may seem as if one trying thing after another blows into our lives, wrecking havoc as it goes, we should take solace in that we are not alone.

It is a work of the Spirit to bring calm to our troubled minds and situations. Just as Jesus stood in the storm, and said, "Peace, be still," the Master of the wind is standing today in your storm, speaking, "Peace!!"

He is saying, "I am here, my child!! This will work for your good...be not dismayed by what you see and hear. Problems come to everyone...the insane will be with us forever...the winds of trial are for your making. So in all of this take heart...I have not forsaken you!! Peace, be still!!"

Can you hear Him?!
