Update On Koffe's Testimony

http://www.apostolicfriendsforum.com...ad.php?t=30082

I had started this thread after Koffe received the Holy
Ghost Pentecost Sunday, May 23, at the church we have
attended for over 50 yrs.

Wanted to update since then. Koffe has not missed one
service since HIS Pentecost and has witnessed to friends
and family about his experience. His former fiancee' came
with him one Sunday morning.

Last Wed. night he brought a good friend from Maryland.
She had flown in, and came to church with Koffe. J. wept
during the service and just like Koffe had done, went to the
front and prayed, tears flowing, arms raised and said she'd
be back Sunday morn.

Yesterday morning we had a wonderful Spirit-filled service
and at the end, J. came to the front, prayed and wept. In a
very few minutes she had received the Holy Ghost, speak-
ing with tongues. No one had to tell her she had received
it. She knew.

Koffe told her she now needed to be baptized in Jesus
Name. She did not hesitate but told him she wanted to
be baptized in Jesus Name. Came up out of the water and
began to worship and began speaking in tongues again.
The joy came and it was all over her face. It is so refresh-
ing to see people hungry, and with childlike faith, be obed-
ient and receive the Spirit.

J. is not a young child. She works in a high position in her
job in Maryland. She belongs to a Methodist church. I had
related a little about my Methodist grandmother and how
God led her to more truth. That's when she told me she
goes to a Methodist church. She said that the Methodist
minister had sometime ago, told his congregation some of
the history of the Pentecostal movement. She said he told
us if we ever get to the place, and allow the Spirit to move
like the Pentecostals do, we'll get somewhere with God!

It reminded me again, and I told J and Koffe what my late
father had said. Dad said "We found what we needed,
but wasn't looking for, at a Pentecostal alter in 1933".
Lanny Wolfe wrote a song, "It's A Wonderful Feeling When
You Finally Found, What You've Been Looking For". J. didn't
know just what she it was she was needing, but she found
it yesterday in a Pentecostal alter.

To God be the glory, praise and honor for GREAT things HE
HAS done, IS doing, and WILL CONTINUE to do. He is pour-
ing out His Spirit upon all flesh that will hear, believe and
obey the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

J. leaves early in the morning to go back to Maryland and to
her job. She's taking back something with her that she didn't
bring with her. She will never be the same!
