Sean, I have heard this preached for years, erroneously of course.
Define "That".
You define "that" as Jesus. Jesus is not a "That" He is a "Who".
The problem with your thinking is that you are parroting the line of the dipees who have went before you.
You have a definition problem with this verse.
Study out "That" and get back to us.
