It's been 5 years since I've seen what a 3 yr old can do to a room. Now I know what an 8 yr old can do to a room-- and that's something that doesn't improve with age. You should see what a 13 yr old and a 17 yr old can do to a room they share.....
I think I'll take a picture of the 8yr olds room...I just close his door.
He's my step son and his dad lets him get by with his room being trashed b/c he's only there every other weekend (and his dad is a major wimp and feels some uncalled for guilt)....and on Wednesday nights (Long enough to dress for church, come home and go to bed)....so he lets him get by with it...
The 3 year olds at my house are all daycare kids now. And yep, I see what they can do to a room every single day. But they're also the only ones around here who know how to clean up after themselves. Imagine that!
I taught my 13 year old and my 17 year old to clean up after themselves back when they were 3 year olds. Just like I do the daycare kids. But do they do it now? Noooooooooo. I have to sit on them, take away privileges, etc, in order to get them to clean their rooms! Right now the 13 year old is better at it than the 17 year old. But I keep telling myself - he's almost a senior. Then he'll leave for college and you can clean that room and keep it clean. Until then, we just close the door. Some things are not worth making a huge battle over.

After work, my son and I are driving to my dad's in Arkansas to attend their Easter cantata. This is the one that he grew a beard to be in and he's 78 mind you......he's actually got a speaking part - lol!
However, I do have tomorrow off from work, so driving back home late won't be too big of an issue.

Change of plans......my son has to be at work in the morning at 6:00 so I let him off the hook of going to see his grandpa and I'm just going by myself tomorrow night - - won't be as rushed that way!
So, we are cooking dinner together and spending some quality time at home!

I spent the evening paying bills and COOKING for tomorrow. It will be crazy tomorrow, since I have to be at church at 8:15 and won't get home until about 1 pm. I have my folks coming for dinner and not sure how many more. I'm glad Ashley is home, so at least we'll all be here together.

I will also have a busy day tomorrow, as the stick drama team will be performing, breakfast will be served to all who show up, and I have company tomorrow and will be cooking.
Good thing there is no church tomorrow night, as I have a lot of homework to do that's due Tuesday!
