My mother just had surgery on her brain to fix a Chairi Malformation problem with her skull. They had to cut off her hair on the back of her head from the ear level down to perform the operation.
Will she go to hell for having her hair cut?
She asked the hospital to save her hair, and it is in a bag by her bed. Can she be saved if she carries the bag of cut hair with her wherever she goes? Will she still have the power of the angels?
I believe I know the answer, but I'm curious how the hard-liners reconcile this!
You mother had no choice they cut her hair she was not violating the passage. The minute the surgery was over it began to grow again. I certainly hopes she recovers fully.

Great (and obvious) answer, Bro. Epley. Good to see you posting!
Pianoman, I feel like adding your Mother to my personal 'prayer list' of those particular things that I make sure I touch God for every day. Keep us informed from time to time.

Bro. Epley, that's a wonderful reply! We are praying that the surgery helps with her balance. She is 71 years old, and has has to use a walker to get around because she falls all of the time. She will have to endure intense physical theropy over the next few weeks to help her stand and walk correctly.
Please pray that God heals her completely where she can live a normal life again!

Absolutely.

Goodie. There is hope for people like me!!
I also don't cut my own hair and yes, it grows the minute the cutting is over!! LOL!
PM, as for your mom, I know what she's going through with the surgery and all. Although I didn't have Chiari Malformation, many people with my condition do develop it. Thankfully, she probably doesn't have to worry about a combover. I had my entire head shaved when I had my surgery.

This is so silly and so typical....un-cut means just that...the bible doesn't give you "choices" in the areas that God has commanded.............
the thing is God never said this in the first place so cutting her hair was NOT wrong....I can not believe how that passage in the bible has been so used soooo wrong....I challenge anyone to find the word UNCUT.....its not there....
Sorry brother for stepping on your post again, but I am just really really ......
Whoo hoo, then I'm okay too in some of your eyes because I don't cut my hair - my hairdresser does.
PM, I hope you have added your mom to the prayer section too.
Praying all goes well!
Thank you all for your prayers!
In my mind I was hoping she would get up off the operating table and walk out of the hospital in wondeful health! Reality has sunk in, and she is in a lot of pain, and has a lot of healing to do!

She is a precious saint of God!
She had brain surgery............of course there's going to be some worse before better times. God will be with her and after the healing is complete I pray she is in better health!
