Keep me in your prayers-emergency trip

Hi everyone. Just to update some of you on things as I've not been able to post often lately.

My mom had gastric bypass surgery this past Monday. While all went pretty well, she's not moving along as fast as I'd hoped. Her husband is still in a nursing home while he recuperates from his broken ankle as she's not able to care for him.

She lives in the middle of nowhere. My brother works 18 hours a day and isn't able to take care of her. She thought of going to the nursing home for strengthening, but it's not an option, as her husband would make things worse for both her and the staff due to his Tourette's, so she's wanting to go home, thinking that people will come by once in a while to check on her.

Well, this line of thinking makes me nervous. I'm trying to finish school and work at the same time. I've also been dealing with a situation with my son not attending school as he should, so I've been under a lot of stress.

Things coming together as they have, I have a week off of my working at the hospital for school. This is perfect, as I am able to go to Virginia to be with my mom until next Wednesday. I'm leaving in the morning. My mom is supposed to be discharged from the hospital tomorrow or Saturday.

This trip is two-fold though. I have been applying for jobs in that area and have gotten 3 calls already. One of them requested an interview ASAP and I'll be calling her back in the morning. I hope to have more interviews lined up this next week.

Please pray not only for my sanity to remain intact, but that I'll be able to do what needs to be done for my mom, that she will gain more strength to be able to care for herself before I leave, and that I will have my thoughts together as I go through the interview process with possible jobs. I'd like to have one lined up by Aug 1, which is my planned date of availability

Thanks to you all. I love ya's muches!

Re: Keep me in your prayers-emergency trip

My mom has internet, and since I have school work to complete by Thursday next week, I'll be doing that also.

*sigh*

I graduate May 14th. I'm so looking forward to that!

The bad thing is, I was supposed to work five days between now and next Thursday that I now have to call in for. They aren't going to be happy with me, and I'm not getting a check next week.

Thank God I have rich friends.

Re: Keep me in your prayers-emergency trip

I'm leaving in a few minutes for the airport. Pray that my pilot is Jesus and not a drunk.

I have a lot of anxiety about flying. I know that I have a much higher chance of being killed in a car wreck but driving doesn't bother me. Flying does, and if there is an accident, well, let's just say that not all car wrecks are fatalities.

Love you all, and I'll keep in touch.

Also, I have a couple job interviews. Remember those.
