The answer is complex..Easter egg hunt should be done only if you and your church don't worship no bunnies along the way.

And only if you got enough eggs to hide. ;-)

We have had them for years in full knowledge that some "others" would look upon us with disdain.

We know folks view us as "unworthy" over our christmas tree;s in our homes and the exchanging of gifts too.

None of the folks I worship with weekly have ever been known to fall down before their trees and worship them or some pagan God they supposedly are representive of.

Egg Hunt's ! Just ONE MORE THING we can harp on ! I think we got enogh stuff to harp on allready.

Please forgive me if I am incorrect but...

Isn't the spirit (for lack of a better word) in which you make these observations about them show a similar disdain to what you have seem them demonstrate towards you?

Truly... I'm not trying to be problematic here.

Just asking.

Could be D4T ..I do get a little weary with folks touting their holier than thou views.

I wear a ring/ got facial hair presently/celebrate christmas and easter/ I wear short sleeves in our hot humid summers and cut my lawn, in below knee length shorts/I'm for R6/I think Deut 22:5 is misinterpreted and 1 Cor 11: too

So yes..you mighta picked up something there D4T...you must have discernment, but i still love ya friend.

I do not think anybody will be lost for NOT celebrating christmas or easter with trees or egg hunts.

You and I have complete liberty to do as we see appropiate in our culture on these mind boggling questions. is it OK to have a easter egg hunt.

If it floats your boat. Do it.

If it sinks your boat. Don't

But leave my boat alone.

Yes sir...

And I understand your frustration. I am one who believes that the spirit in which I possess truth is as important as the truth I possess (and by truth I am speaking of truths that form the way I live my life... not things I feel that anyone else necessarily needs to see the same way). I do also tire of the spirit in which I see some who hold my same beliefs come at others with.

I was not wanting to criticize you in the least. And I understand, having dealt with what you have dealt with in the past, that you would be a tad gun shy at my post as well.

I appreciate your recognizing the possibility that a similar spirit was in use and I, for what good it would do, am sorry that you have had to deal with such attitudes from some who hold these beliefs.

Be blessed and thanks for your post.

Oh, and my Pine thanked me for singing "Oh christmas tree" to it but assured me that it was NOT a christmas tree. something about being attached to its roots.
