NITW, I surely hope you are kidding you know pulling our legs. If you are not then you are the most confused of the most confused. I have read many things in the Bible and NOTHING about it being an abomination. If you are a pastor God help your saints. I call 'em your saints cause they aren't God's saints if the follow your logic.

Dress code is nothing equal to Holiness. The 'standard of Holiness' tag is a big joke. Should be known as 'our dress code' or something like 'just one way we ostrisize others'. I have no problem with someones convictions cause to them they are valid and needed. But you nor anyone else can make the correct points on teaching this when there is NO scripture to back it up. Funny how smart people can prove themselves unwise with fe words.

I am not a parent, but I may have a problem letting my daughter play basketball in a team environment.

I am also sure I would not be comfortable with my daughter joining the military-- both are environments where the ladies have to wear something that doesnt look specifically feminine.


I do not have a problem with feminine pants/jeans.
I do have a problem with ladies wearing unisex items like sports, some military and UPS uniforms (etc).

These uniforms ALWAYS look distinctly masculine-- we're just told to think it's not masculine when a lady is in it.


But I'm not a parent yet.

I'm not sure I agree with you. You're basically saying there aren't any gender neutral items of clothing.

Ultra-frilly or dressy, traditionally feminine clothing does not really allow for most athletic activities--at least, not modestly.

Good point. However, I can't think of any "gender neutral" clothing that does not have an overwhelming sense of masculinity.

If I were to error, I would error on the side of femininty for my daughters and masculinity for my sons.

My daughters can go "muddin" in a pair of pink Chic or Jordache jeans.

I pause at the idea of my daughters of wearing overwhelmingly masculine looking gym shorts or anything else that appears more masculine than not.

The OT verse on the law does mention abomination: Deuteronomy 22:5 "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God."

However ... one needs to read the definition of abomination used in that scripture, as there are several different meanings and uses of that word throughout the Bible.

You also have to know that that particular verse wasn't referring to pants, since both sexes wore robes.
