Jesus

Yesterday I was reading a book that triggered me thinking about how the Tabernacle was a shadow of Jesus.

We know that in Revelation it speaks of the 7 candlestick that was in the Holy Place in the Tabernacle, and the table of shewbred = Jesus is the bread of life.

I got to thinking what all do we know about Jesus.

We know that He was 12 when He was caught teaching when His parents had left Him behind when leaving Jeusalem.

We know He was 30 when He started His earthly ministry.

Some say He was 33 1/2 when He was crucified.

We know He fasted 40 days in the wilderness.

We know He was tempted 3 times by satan while in the wilderness.

We know He raised 4 from the dead.

We know He turned water into wine.

We know He fed over 5,000 men and women twice.

We know He walked on the water.

We know He spoke to the elements and peace came.

We know He chose 12 disciples to follow Him.

We know He told one his sins were forgiven.

We know He healed many. Has anyone ever counted how many are recorded?

We know He ran the money changers out of the temple.

We know that the Pharisees tried to stump Him with their questions and learned they were no match for His wisdom.

We know that He loved children and forbid them to be hindered in coming to Him.

We know that He set the woman free that was caught in sin. (the man was never brought forth for condemation for his part in the sin.)

We know that He is the ultimate sacrifice for sin.

We know that His name has power and that every knee will bow before Him.

We knowthat He is the King of Kings.

We know that even though His coming was foretold all through the scriptures many years before His coming, yet those that lived in His day missed His coming because they had it in their mind how He would come back as their King in the natural and not as a baby. Will we miss His coming also because we perceive His coming being different than what it actually will be?

What did I miss? Can you add anything of extend further notes on Him? Do YOU KNOW Him? Do you want to know Him better? I do!

Re: Jesus

Ok, I know there is no way I got everything. Put your thinking caps on and add to the list.

Wow, Sis Esther. I'm sure if I had a thinking cap I could think of some more things to add, but you got me to feeling pretty good with what you wrote. Good stuff.

Oh, yeah... He spit on the ground... made mud... and healed a blind man. How cool is that!
...and wrote on the ground, completely ignoring the religious elite of His day!

Very good.

I was thinking but didn't add how He healed the lepers that were feared by the people of that day.

Re: Jesus

Don't forget the many He delivered from evil spirits.

The Gaderene with over 2,000 demons and the young boy that was often thrown into the fire.
