I take it they're going to give them until the end of the Congressional recess, and then the train is leaving the station. It'll be interesting to see if the moderate Repub's like Grassley and others hold their current positions or decide they'd like to talk after all. A bold move by the Obama administration.
Well I see Mike my friend you're still in denial! I am not surprised. I will say it again and again over the next year WE TOLD YOU SO! With the way you defended BO throughout the election I guess you might as well keep playing the music while the Titanic sinks! I predict that when the dust settles, BO and his gang will undermine the confidence of Americans in the Democrat party to such a degree that they will not only lose a bunch of seats in the House and Senate in 2010, BO will go down in flames in 2012. I hope they keep overreaching---they will, they have to---extremists like this bunch cant help themselves!
We have a bankrupt Social Security system, bankrupt Medicare, bankrupt Medicaid and probably a bankrupt Postal Service---and these goons want to trust us with Healthcare? Are you serious? Tell me, besides national defense, what service does government provide that the private sector doesn't offer better? I had to wait for 2 hours just get tags for my car the other day! I really don't want to wait 2 hours or 2 days or 2 weeks to get my appendix fixed!
Misinformation? Really? If you are so sure that the information about death panels and abortions and illegal immigrants is not in the bill show us! What is funny is that you and the liberal media cry "misinformation!" but you all fail to give proof that the proposals DONT include such things.
Mike you are priceless---keep up the entertainment on here! I love a good laugh!

Deacon it's good to see you back. I was beginning to wonder if you weren't coadie. I'm still not convinced that you aren't, but nonetheless it's good to see you back.
Death panels? Seriously? We debunked all of that goofiness last week in the posts. You do realize that the "death panel" amendment that you all got all worked up over was proposed by a Republican right? If you'd read the amendment, before it was yanked from the bill by the Republican, you'd have been able to comprehend that it dealt with living wills and what family member would be the proxy if a person was incapacitated. It also BLOCKED FUNDING for sessions if they included any talk of suicide or assisted suicide.
You do understand what BLOCKED FUNDING means right?

you debunked nothing and the death panel the dems talk about is not the death panel that exists in the house bill....
the fact is, the bill provides for a government appointed group to decide what health care options are availble. It is the RATIONING that will be done by this bill that matters and that IS the "death panel"

Wrong information aside, I'm glad to see you at least being concerned about "rationing" healthcare that's going on under greedy insurance companies. You got part of it right Ferd.

You can verify with Renda that I am not coadie or anybody else but DB!

No need for verifying, I believe you. You and him have a similar posting style, but I'm pretty certain he's a few universe's to the right of even you.

If you are a liberal you think Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act caused the most recent economic crisis. If you are a conservative you believe the Community Reinvestment Act as amended in the mid 1990’s by the Clinton administration was the culprit.
Regardless of your view, one thing is certain. OUR government gets the full blame for the recession. The question everyone ought to be asking themselves is, should we let this same bunch of clowns take control of our healthcare?
Hmm…….
