Excuse me? Don't patronize me. I did not mis-read your post. You clearly said Jesus was crucified at the third hour of the day . Yet in John he was still in Pilate's court on the 6th hour. Which in Luke was also the start of the "time of darkness" which John missed altogether in his version. So I was asking you, since you claim to be a scholar, which was correct. Because the stories appear to contradict.
The point is, had you used the book of John, your story would have fallen a bit flat. The timeline does not match the other versions. And they are just versions aren't they..
Don't worry, no one is suggesting that I am standing in your way of being seen as more correct.

Islamic folks need to stick to the Koran unless they do more research in the Bible before they critique the Bible.
About the sixth hour (hōs hektē). Roman time, about 6 a.m. (a little after 6 no doubt) when Pilate rendered his final decision. Mar_15:25 notes that it was the third hour (Jewish time), which is 9 a.m. Roman time, when the crucifixion began. Why should John give Jewish time writing at the close of the first century when Jerusalem and the Jewish state passed away in a.d. 70? He is writing for Greek and Roman readers.

OOOOOOOH I see. So it is not a literal translation. A minor inconsistancy. Wow, I am in the midst of scholars. I am not trying to prove the bible inaccurate. I have questions about what appear to be inconsistancies in the texts (although the "roman time" and "jewish time" thing makes a bit of sense I guess)
Since the two of you are here, please explain then to me which version of events happened on THIS day:
1. Who was actually there? 1 woman, 2 women, or 3 women?
2. Was the stone removed before they arrived or after arrival?
3. Was it still dark or daylight?
4. Did the women leave and not tell anyone because they were afraid or did they tell the disciples or did they run into Jesus after they left THEN went to tell the disciples?
5. Were there (2) angels, (1) angel, or (no) angels?
I offer the (4) different versions
Version 1:
And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.
Version 2:
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' " Then they remembered his words. When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense. Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened. Version 3:
Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they have put him!" So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus' head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen. Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)
Version 4:
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you." So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them.
