Right, and that is what I take issue with.
I certainly believe a person who is filled with the Holy Ghost and living a Christian life is still a Christian whether they are tempted, or even if they mess up and give in to temptation.
It's what you do about the temptation, or what you do after you've sinned that determines in which direction you are STILL headed.
I have a problem with the Gay churches that do NOT discourage sin, but embrace it, and encourage it.

I feel ya bro.
I look at theological differences like this, if they have a different interpretation...so be it. They answer to God not me. I'm not going to judge another man's servant. I'll pray that they get enough Holy Ghost that God reveals the truth to them. I know this much...I'd couldn't teach it or attend a church that taught it. As for me and my family we will serve the Lord. I just pray God forgives them if they are in error.
My wife's family is interesting. Half the family is Jewish and the other half is Episcopal. Her uncle is an Episcopal Bishop who embraces "gay theology". He's given me plenty of resources on it and we've talked about it at length. I disagree with him and he with me. But we're still cordial to one another and sometimes we'll tag team praying at family functions. People know where we stand and sometimes they don't see how we can be such good family friends. I tell them that we both have a friend named Jesus....I just know him better.

So if Jesus is your uncle's friend, he is saved??

I think Aquila was just saying that he tries to use a little humor to overcome an awkward family situation.

So yes, I contend that there are Gay Apostolics. If God loved them enough to forgive their sin and give them the Holy Ghost, I'm man enough to acknowledge them as part of the body. And if they fall, they are fallen brothers and/or sisters.
I don't know why we're going around in circles trying to qualify who's "worthy" of wearing the label "Apostolic" like it's some kind of honorary title earned by our own merits or something.
Now, I don't condone sin. But I will be friends with, pray with, and encourage gay Christians and even *gasp* gay people. But when the rubber meets the road I let them know, I believe it's a sin. They need to take it to God and pray for strength to overcome just like I do my sins.
I just felt like I had to speak up here.
God bless.

People of the common faith that adhere to the Apostles doctrine(Apostolic) love God, know what I mean? Homosexuals hate God, huh? Read my earlier post in this thread, just make sure your prayed up before you read it because, you may change your lacidasial attitude about that spirit.

I just want to know how god can fill a gay person with the holyghost. I know he is no respector of persons but most on this site would never in a million years think a gay person is filled with the holyghost....

A person can still consider themselves gay (as far as preference), but not participate in the sin. I believe there are a lot of people in Pentecost who would say this is true, if they were honest. But they DO have to learn to live above sin, no matter what the temptation. And YES, God can fill them with the Holy Ghost, but they have to go on and live free.

Re: Gay apostolics?
God filled me with the Holy Ghost on April 1, 1984 at a little home missions church in WV. Been a struggle since day one, but God was there from day one. I love the Lord with all my heart. And I certainly don't claim to know a lot, but I do know where my heart is. Just struggling here folks. I'm certainly sensing a lot of tension here. And don't mean to be the center of it. I suppose that God is more merciful that we give Him credit for.
