Now how about some humor,one day an evangelist went to a church to conduct a revival ,and his wife was a singer.
One night the evangelist asked his wife to sing a song ,The Pastor said brother she can't sing on my platform as she is wearing open toed shoes ,which we don't allow around here.
The Pastor said brother if she slips off those shoes ,she can sing bare-footed this we will allow.

Years and years ago back in the 60s my father did preach against open toe shoes though lol lol !

that is total insanity
I do remember Years ago that they preached against "open toes"
also no Heels out, no straped shoes either those were thought to be too sexy

As a kid my family went to church where the girls had to wear brown hair barretts and Mennonite dresses while the boys and to wear white shirt, blue pants and a blue tie. The adults could had a dress code, but it wasn't color coordinated...
