Re: A season of harvest...

This morning I was sitting in the den aimlessly channel 'surfing' when I passed by a TV preacher talking about his latest DVD product available.

I wasn't concentrating on what he said because the title of it jumped out at me...Overflowing Harvest.

The prefix over added to verbs, nouns, adjectives, and adverbs means excess, and not always in a positive light...overdose, overlook, overcharge, overdue, overexert, overexpose, overemotional, overload, oversexed, overstep, overtake, overtired...too many words to mention here.

But the word overflow means to be so full the contents run over; to extend beyond the limits; to be very abundant.

This is God's best for His people.

It is His will that we live in abundance of peace and joy and blessing.

It is His will that we receive the harvest of favor and honor for our diligence in service and love.

He wants the best for me...He wants the best for you.

Today I pray that our hearts overflow with love and kindness and that it is extended...may our cups overflow with healing and restoration in every area.

I receive these words today, and pray the reader does as well...

Great post Barb!

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever. {Psalms 23:5-6}

Thank you, Bro. P...something came to my mind and heart in service today.

We sang this song...

Anoint me...anoint me
Holy Spirit, let thy fountain
Overflow on me
Anoint me...anoint me
I am just a willing vessel
An empty willing vessel
Anoint me...anoint me

When we sang "overflow on me," I thought about my earlier post and the fountain of inner abundance that is available just for the asking and receiving.

It is a fact that God is not going to bless sin, but those of a pure and contrite spirit...those who desire to be everything the Master is calling for, and more...those who have chosen to be chosen...those who live a life of expectancy and gratefulness...those who have humbled themselves in the sight of God...those who have rid themselves of everything not like Him...

These are folk who can say, "Because I am an empty willing vessel, let the fountain from your Spirit overflow on me!!"

Lord, may it forever be so with me...
