Human nature I guess. People love to watch a train wreck in progress.

Re: The one thing she lied about

The thing I find interesting is she told the truth about the adultery and stuff but when she said she thought she was a good person in reality inside she knew she was NOT good...

You can go up to a dozen people on the streets and most of them will probably declare their own goodness, but the truth is the heart of man is corrupt despite what good things he thinks he or she has done.

This woman was trying to hide her own guilt from herself

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Pretty passive aggressive way of spilling your guts, if you ask me. ...like all those other shows where they tell their spouses all their dirty laundry on national television. Why would someone want to humiliate their husband, wife or family like that? Now that I think about it--I don't think its "passive" at all.
Reminds me of a terrible thing I did to my wife once.

When she got in the car, I asked her what she had planned in about six weeks and if she could get some time off. When she asked why I told her I had something to tell her and we were booked on the Springer show.

After screaming some very unladylike comments and barely staying on the road while pounding my shoulder she let me know in no uncertain terms anything I had to say on Springer I better tell her right then. Even though I laughed through the whole thing it took her the rest of the day to calm down!!

What prompted me pulling the joke in the first place was the thought what kind of person agrees to go on the show so their spouse can break news to them anyway?? What would be a normal persons reaction when they are first told (personally I think Deb's reaction should be the norm LOL) Do they think they will be the first one in history to get a flowers and a sonnet?? LOL

Haven't you heard of what they do to people on some of those Japanese shows? And the Brits and Swedes invented most of the gross out games that require contestants to eat hands full of earthworms and such. We're actually behind the trend.

This one features such events as "Bad Smell Air" and "Hitted Hip." I can't figure out how the "Outwitted" event came to be translated as such. It definitely was not the man's wits that were taken out. The setting is a library which explains the muted responses from the fellow contestants; or least their attempts to mute their responses.

Re: The one thing she lied about

Sounds like the game show wanted to know way too much. Its wierd to me how people want to be entertained with the faults, failures and sin of others.
Its like soap opera tv only now its real life instead of made up.

Then she was asked if she had cheated on her husband and she answered yes,

For all the marbles then she was finally asked if she thought she was a good person and she said yes.....and the lie detector said that was a lie.

And this all happened in front of her husband and other family members
