Just a stab in the dark here . . .

But would not it be that people figure the man who is God-ordained with a burden for their salvation will also have their best interests at heart when it comes to advising personal matters?

It's tough for me to say because I have not availed myself of my pastor's counsel but a few times, and it wasn't for the traditional things such as marriage or internal bickering.

I did not vote since there is not an option that best suits my opinion.

It must be known that wisdom and knowledge are not synonamous. The former is spiritual while the latter is natural being a mere accumulation of facts. Never the less, there is a natural wisdom derived from refined rationale based on knowledge. Divine wisdom resides in the regenerated spirit of man given from above while knowledge and rationality resides in natural intellect.

There is an infernal wisdom, but that is another subject.

One can be wise, as in being street smart...wisdom is knowing when to use it.

One can be wise, as in experienced in allowing the carnal nature to rule...wisdom is when it is acknowledged and conversion is made.

One can be wise, as to the wiles of the enemy...wisdom is combating him with the Word and the Blood.

Not on topic, but what dropped in my inner beings...
