JT was very honest and up front that this was hypothetical. His daughter--and her name---is in his avatar. She is two years old.

The thread is not about his girl, or any other particular girl. It is about, Do oneness poeple have a biase with the word trinity. I admitted I do. No one else seems to be able to come clean about it. I would pass a business name "trinity...." I would have to try hard to get to know someone name "trinity" and it would always be in the back of my mind when I was around Trinity that her name is the same as the damnable doctrine belched out of hell.

What story? I never said I named my child Trinity. I was posing a question if it would be an issue with people on here. This post tells me 2 things. First you don't really read posts/threads before posting. Second that you are the exact type of person that would stand up and throw a "holy"fit if one of yours friends wanted to name a kid Trinity. I don't know you personally but I can say that I would be your friend but somethings that you post makes me shake my head and wonder what exactly is going through your mind.

I actually think that Trinity is a very cute name for a little girl, but I'm too afraid I might get a child with a personality complex or something if I named her that.

I don't think that as a little kid the apostolic adults would give grief but as the child got older then yes there would be grief. There would certainly be garbage thrown on the parents you bet your house on it.

From the ignorance displayed by many oneness people I have met....yeah, JT asks a good question. I would bet that someone would/has already said something to the little girl.

People can be pretty (theres that word again that cant seem to get on the group) KRAPPY sometimes, and does anyone REALLY believe that people lose their old human nature when they get in church?

I have been in Oneness Pentecost for over thirty years and see that aside from a class thing, they are no more or less capable of bad behaviour than anyone else.

Thats why the constant self hating Oneness Pentecostal stuff on this group is getting really old really fast!

What kind of treatment (really) was he expecting this little girl to receive? A public flogging followed by a dunking in the local pond with a public stoning in the parking lot for the finale?

IF someone said something to her about her name can you honestly tell me that that same thing would not or could not happen in any one of a thousand different venues? A public school, a girl scout troop, a sleep over at a friends house? Why is this phrased as HOW DID THE ONENESS FOLKS TREAT HER as though it was this monolithic crushing machine of lockstep biddies just waiting to hurt this little girl in anyway they could, showing unfeeling barbarism and harshness ? Why is it that we have to be enquiring about ONENESS PENTECOSTALS rather than some old bitter Mrs Olsen type person who is the way she is REGARDLESS of her take on a godhead doctrine?

I noticed this recently on this group, it seems that the re is a gross inability to distinguish human nature which is by NATURE capable of many slights and insults from some innate ONENESS PENTECOSTAL trait of being ESPECIALLY nasty and mean spirited.

Sorry if it seems I am overdoing my reaction here, but really, take a gander around you at alot of these posts, many of these "Oneness" people actually hate loathe and despise their brethren and lose no opportunity to take pot shots at..........................................THEMSE LVES!
