Re: Passing of Mom, Prayer for CC1 & Family

CC1, that's very cute. Having had worked in a nursing home and caring for all kinds of people, there are lots of funny stories to be told, even when the situation is sad.

Sometimes, it's good to laugh at our circumstances because we've already cried about them too much.

Re: Passing of Mom, Prayer for CC1 & Family

I scrambled to get a pen and paper I could hold for her to write. Then very clearly she wrote "are your windows up?". LOL!!!!!! She saw it was raining outside and while I was waxing philosophical in my mind about what great nuggets of wisdom she might be frustrated from giving me it turns out she was still a very practical mom![/QUOTE]

PRICELESS!!!

That WAS what was on her mind - taking care of you. Just precious!

Yes Renda, once a Mom always a Mom no matter how old your children get.

Re: Passing of Mom, Prayer for CC1 & Family

I attended a funeral yesterday of my boss's mom. Her pastor of two years was speaking - very reserved man. He said a few weeks back that he went to visit her. She lives in an assistance living home, so he let himself in and she said she'd be out in a minute.

He sat on the couch for a while and finally she yelled in there and asked him if he was a modest man. He said, well, I am, but what do you need. She asked if he could come help her. He walked into her bedroom and she was sitting on the side of the bed in "all of her glory" and needed help putting her gown on.

He said.....that was a first for me in my ministry.

Sis. Rhoni,
And no one knows this better than a MOM! GOD bless MOMS everywhere,
from the youngest to the eldest, in Jesus Name!

Hugs,

Lord I pray I never have that happen to me. Bless her heart that had to be harder on her than him.
