I wish the conservatives and ultra cons well. I think all will be much happier.

The UPC can begin it's tack toward moderation and emphasizing the Bible vs. the extra biblical traditions the org. has been wrapped up in (yes as the cons predicted the door has been opened to rationality. As the ultra cons leave and the voting becomes more progressive hopefully more change is in store over the next decade)

What I am really anxious to see is how long it takes the new conservative fellowships that spring up to start ragging on each other. I think it is built in some peoples DNA to be combative and think they are the only holy ones around. Should be interesting if some of the cons move from being bent out of shape over video screens and music at conferences to whether their fellow con is wearing red, a watch that is too much like jewelry, open toed shoes on women, etc, etc.

Any group whose starting point is what they are against usually doesn't fair too well. Look at all of the branch groups who have left the UPC over the years. None of them that I can think of have really flourished. The UPC will move forward and never look back.

I wish the defectors well.

That is how they have to do it when they have not personally talked to the men..... ROFL....like they would and they feel the need to create some great newsflash.........

I wonder what would happen if all the people who are no longer in the UPCI would let the UPCI mind its own busniess and maybe go teach a Bible Study or something instead of being the "I Spy" hero that they wish they were.......

Bunch of gossip and tales until proven otherwise or until the "facts" come from the man being talked about.........

Goes both ways bro...you can't imagine the number of lies that have been spun in the UPC about us...

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?

Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

CC1 there may have been some credance in your post several years ago but in today's climate though true many cons do not agree on some issues there are many more issues we do agree on today. There are certain absolutes that there will be no negociations however those things you mention seem small compared to what we are facing and a united front is needed. I have NO intention of joining any new organization however if invited I will probably go to the meeting, The day of organizational boundaries and cards determining fellowship among conservatives is over Thank the Lord. The message-life-ethics will determine fellowship.
