But there is also no denying the spirit of expectation, deliverance, and revival in the services.
I don't doubt that. They have always been very friendly, down to earth people. I am privileged to know them! Boy, and can Stephanie sing!!!!

Re: Resurrection Sunday at Pastor Suber's Church

There is a lot of potential in the Shreveport area. As much as I would NOT want to live there I think for someone in ministry the opportunity JS had to assume the pastorate of a mulimillion dollar paid for facility at a church not in some sort of crisis but with a beloved pastor retiring is probably once in a lifetime. For most men never in a lifetime!

I wish him and Stephanie well.

His church is in Blanchard, right? Which is pretty much out in the country north of Shreveport..its own community. This is probably very good for his church growth b/c to my knowledge there aren't any Pentecostal churches in Blanchard. There is of course in Bossier, Shreveport, and in Oil City north of Blanchard.

It is in the Blanchard area, northwest of Shreveport, but it does have a Shreveport mailing address.

Someone with his gift though I think would be a better choice for a new work. We need to plant more churches in America

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Without addressing the more churches vs more effective churches argument:

Personally I would have loved to have seen this myself.

On the other hand. He is independent, no organizational backing, he has small children and the only "profession" he has ever had in his life is ministry. Which would really limit the bi-vocational possibilities.

Additionally, the pastor is retiring so the church needs a pastor anyway.

There is also that little fact, he is exactly where he believes God wants him to be, so perhaps that should be the overriding argument??
