Coldest it has been since 1998.

Our power was out when I got up at 3:00 AM!! It was 57 degrees in the house. I called the power company and they projected power back on at 7:26 AM!! I thought "This is bad". We turned on all the faucets etc. and then it came on about 3:30!! I said "Thank God" and my husband said "Thank some frozen electric guy!! LOL It is -24 degrees right now!!

It was forecast that we would see 10 degrees here... it got down to about 24.

What's up with that.... it was a regular heat wave.

Last night was 16 below with a wind chill of 45 below.

When I left for work this morning it was still 16 below. Not sure about wind chill.

Snow coming in tomorrow so the temps will be coming up some. It will be in the teens by tomorrow. A literal heat wave.

I remember when living in Ohio that the temps were below zero for over a week - when it finally hit zero it actually did feel like a heat wave. That was ONE miserable winter for this southern girl!

It has warmed up to -6, up from -11 earlier this a.m. The wind chill was -30 earlier. I'm not sure what it is now. I'm just happy to be in my nice warm home!
