It's quite interesting to hear the different opinions and to sense the differences of spirit that is being expressed. Believe it or not, it's helping me quite a bit. Jeff.
With what? What are you trying to prove? Just curious!
Personally, I have read and studied Paul's gospel to Romans. I have compared it to extra biblical sources. Still studying. God certainly is brave to move in areas where most modern-day pentecostals/apostolics are afraid to tred. You all are enlighting me by the minute. Jeff.
Really? What happens if you slip and say a curse word?
Does God leave you?
Are you saying we have to be perfect for God to "dwell" in us?
God does not leave us, He is faithful. And more importantly He is faithful to His Word. Anyone that is intentionally living in sin and saying they have God in them, is calling God a liar.
Are you implying God can live in a sinful heart?

Ok, a christian can sin but a sinner (homosexual) can't have God's spirit in him. Am I wrong on this?
If you were to lie (sin) to your wife or boss, would the Spirit immediately leave you and return upon repentance? I don't believe God leaves us so quickly unless we persist in sin. King David repented and beseeched God not to take his Spirit from him after his sins of adultery and murder were revealed. Some where a long the way, after a space of repentance (which could be years), God does take his Spirit from those who continually rebel against Him and they become what is called a reprobate.
Those struggling with the sin of homosexuality may still have the Spirit in them. The Spirit no doubt is grieved. But to openly live a sinful lifestyle and pass it off as approved of God is treading on the blood of Christ.
If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.Heb 6:6

No double standard at all.
I think the Apostle Paul spoke very clearly regarding this type of issue:
9 I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people—
10 not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world.
11 But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.
12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?
13 God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you."

I have read Paul's gospel to the Romans many times and continue to study extra biblical sources to compare to the writing of his day. It is quite interesting to know just what the Apostle was saying and to whom. You all are lamp to me and just don't know it yet. Jeff.
I have known many Apostolic gluttons, who preach , sing, speak with tongues and proficy, and when they leave church they go back home and pig out! Is this different? Can we accept sin that does not exceed our own? Gluttons that have given in and no longer fight the temptation are they much different than the homosexual who has stopped fighting the temptation? (only skinny people may respond) hee hee , just joking.
