Years ago, he was personally at the AG General Conference and with his own eyes and ears saw and heard the grayheads of the AG plead with the conference to hold the line on standards of holiness. The conference would not listen and history has revealed the outcome of that decision.
He is not UC but preaches very straight and always been principle and relationship driven and not rules based. He said that if the people would abide by just what resolution 4 allows then there is not much cause for concern but he knows that it is merely a foothold and that it will not stop at #4.
He wondered aloud, "I saw the compromise of one organization, I guess I may live to see the compromise of another."
Could it be that with the entrance of #4 this could be the start of the end for the UPC? It took the AG more than a few years to get where it is today. So it may not be this year or next but in 50 years what will the UPC look like? Could Thad be speculating about a merger of the UPC and the AG?

That is a concern. If the Conservatives are right-God Help Us.
If the liberals are right-God Help Us too for this issue will surely divide.
Personally, I feel it strongly in my spirit that the coming opf the Lord draweth
nigh.
Others are feeling it too!
Come quickly Lord Jesus!

Careful...
Too many dreams, hopes and ambitions of young people have been aborted that lead to a life of doldrums and disappointments because of an ill perceived vision of the coming of the Lord.

Question for you. If you really believe this, how has it changed how you live your life? Seriously, if you felt this was true, would you really be sitting on some internet forum when there are people outside your door who need Jesus and there just might not be time to reach them?

Well now let's see what I said:
"I feel the coming of the Lord draweth nigh & others feel it too."
We can't help what we feel. Can we be mistaken-sure.
Did I say that we should stop living & wait for the Lord to come back-no.
Did I set a date-no.
Is there an earnest expectation that "I" feel that God coming back is nearer than before-Yes!
Will this not cause me and others to try & be like him, to draw close to him, to
win souls for him-I sure hope so!
What harm has been done?
While we do not rely solely on feelings, I can not help what I am feeling.

We are currently planning & getting ready to have 2008 be our most ambitious year yet.
I also have never stopped telling people about Jesus!
I buried someone who was very dear to me this past month who I have been witnessing too for 25 years.
He was a devout atheist until he died.
