But a lot of people here certainly feel the need to defend "trinitarians".
And?

Re: Church of Champions and Christian Tabernacle

Houston, you are confusing me. This is my first time on this forum so give me some time to figure out how everything works. I can't tell if you are trying to reply to what I said or not. Anyway, the bible is very clear on several issues that are considered "standards." It is clear that women are not to cut their hair. It is also VERY clear in the bible that God does not want his children to adorn themselves with jewels. As far as women wearing pants goes well we all know that the bible does not say that women shold not wear them, but it does teach us to live holy. Many people think they should wear dresses so why not let them wear them if they feel like they should. Just my opinion, no need for you to be harsh.

If you want to discuss that, please visit the Debate Room where I am sure you will get some good counter arguments, but not everyone that believes in Acts 2:38 believe what you do regarding hair etc etc

UM BAHAHAHA Yes it does. Go read it and look up the meaning of the words and you will find out it does. Since you are commenting so I am assuming you know where to find these verses.

Re: Church of Champions and Christian Tabernacle

Ok, like I said before I have NEVER been to this forum so give me some time. I don't even know where the "debate" room is plus I don't want to debate with anyone. I asked what the Exploding Pulpit is and commented what I knew about Church of Champions, which is not much. I would like to know FACTS that people have about the church. I have been to their website and read and FULLY understand it.

Anyway, yes I am aware that many people do not share that view.

kute1, welcome to AFF. There is a wide spectrum of Apostolic / Pentecostal views on here and you will find that many, including myself, believe you are mistaken that the bible prohibits a woman from cutting her hair or wearing jewelry. However you will all find traditional clothes line Pentecostals who will amen you 100%.

F

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Church of Champions and Christian Tabernacle

I don't know what a clothes line Pentecostal is, but it sounds negative. I'm not looking for any amens. You do what's right for you and I'll do what's right for me.
