Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

We must through repentance die and be buried with him in water baptism to affect co-death & co-burial . That accomplished...we are in his dead body. But not resurrected. We serve the living God.

4. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Baptized and filled with the glory of the father (Holy Ghost) we accomplish co-resurrection.

The Holy Ghost draws us...convicts us...fills us...and it is from drawing us to resurrecting us that we are baptized by one Spirit into one body...the resurrected body that is "born of water and Spirit!"

We cannot be resurrected if we are not dead! We are resurrected with him. We must be buried with him. When we are Spirit Baptized, we are the born of water and Spirit... body of the resurected Christ.

Re: The Beginning Of The Church Article.

Excellent point!

The small word "and" (implication: "Also") which exists between Jesus' words "of water AND of the Spirit" in His discourse with Nicodemus about the matter, albeit, as you've noted, is not always recognized by many, it is, nevertheless, of signicifant importance.

One without the other renders one's eternal salvation incomplete (as evidenced by the example regarding the people at Samaria - Acts 8).
