My assessment is that this is pretty flimsy I think he could have been on the verge of saying almost anything. I'm not sure anybody would slip up like that in this kind of public setting

Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are going to be so ashamed of you as a black man. Don't you know that you don't need clear evidence for anything? Just the thought that something MIGHT have happened is enough for the race baiters.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
Quote from Ethel Goss (widow of 1st UPC Gen Supt. Howard Goss) book "The Winds of God"
I guess I don't get it. In context "Government *N*" doesn't even make sense. It sounds more like a stumble over his words to me; not stopping himself from saying the *N* word.
I don't hear it at all. Even the haters did not pick this up as news.

I am a firm believer in the Old Paths
Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945
"It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves
Yeah, sad. Then again, maybe the video is fake or my ears are deceiving me. I'm too conservative to be a Democrat, with too much self respect to keep turning a blind eye to the subtle (and not so subtle) race baiting that has plagued this GOP primary season.
It just doesn't make any sense that he come close to making such an asinie statement-- but what else was he getting ready to say?
Man do I wish that Christie or Huckabee had run, you know-- conservatives who have common sense.
Oh I don't know....nincompoop, ninny, nanny, knucklehead.
Seriously? This millisecond blip gives you evidence enough to assume he meant what you think he meant.
I'm pretty sure you could easily blend in with the Democrats, based on your posts here. I don't think I've seen any conservative, republican type post. Mostly it's about defending Obama.

Funny, just a couple of weeks ago, I stated that supporting this guy was better than supporting Romney.
I've stated several times that Romney is not a real Conservative.
I didn't support Perry, but defended and supported Cain until he catastrophically self-destructed.
I've posted support for things related to the 2nd Amendment.
I posted about being against abortion except in cases that would endanger the life of the mother.
I've posted that I was against lifting, "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."
I've stated good and bad opinions on Gingrich.
I've worked to support and to help get elected Conservative Republican candidates in my state-- and you have done what?
If you think that criticizing Obama just because he is not a Republican makes one a Conservative Republican, you are the one who is mistaken. It's that kind of thinking that has our Congress divided an ineffective and our country contentiously divided. I am not the kind of Republican that revels in that kind of nonsense just so I can force my way over others.
I have criticized our war-time President-- but I don't make it a habit of dragging his name through the mud just because. I practice giving our President the benefit of doubt because he is our elected President-- President of the greatest country on earth and leader of the Free World.
He has had his work cut out for him this term. He inherited two wars and a country facing the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. His immediate actions and the actions of Congress diverted our coutry from an even worst catastrophe.
Maybe a different approach after his immediate response would have brought more progress faster, but we won't ever really know that. His home saving efforts, cash for clunkers, and other ideas-- good or bad-- show that his intentions were to help the average American.
He has not done everything right, but for being a former "Community Volunteer", he's not doing half bad.

JD - I think you could have done a better job than BHO.
Seriously.
He had free rein for his first two years to turn things around and has failed.
His signature accomplishment is in serious doubt.
I actually had high hopes for him when he was elected.
I believed that he had the opportunity to lead us into a "post-racial" America.
But, he has led us into the total opposite path.
His appointment for AG has proven to be one of the most racist individuals that I have seen in power.
His Chicago style politics have led us into rewarding friends and donors with government loans.
His constant harping on the rich "needing to pay their fair share" has led us to be divided along economic lines. In addition to his cultivating relationships with those rich who have failed to pay their taxes, is totally hypocritical.
His projection that the stimulus would enable unemployment to stay below 7% was off base and wrong.
His opening up the money bags to enable government paid for abortions has led to more of the unborn being killed.
Can you give me some specific things that he has done that you support?
Incidentally, I do believe that you are a conservative. Maybe sometimes a confused conservative, but then sometimes I am also!

I don't criticize BHO just because he's not Republican (which, BTW I'm not either). I criticize him because of his policies are divisive, destructive, blame America first, apologize to our enemies, pitting blacks vs whites, rich vs poor, etc.
Cash for clunkers was a mess. It was a huge, red-tape nightmare for the businesses.
His lone signature achievement, passed using chicago-style political bribes and back-door deals, is in danger of being tossed by the SCOTUS.
He tried his hand at the bully pulpit, and came away looking absolutely stupid, especially as a former Constitutional Law Professor. 1) It wouldn't be unprecedented for the SCOTUS to throw out a bill they judge unconstitutional. 2) It is the primary responsibility for these "unelected" justices, which Obama used in a derogatory, demeaning way, to review the laws, then apply and judge them by the Constitution.
However, this President doesn't care about the Constitution. He'd use it for toilet paper if he could get his hands on it. To Obama, there is none higher than Obama. He is da man, and nobody, I mean nobody should dare question him.
As for the bailouts, they were started by Paulson and W. I haven't heard a whisper of thanks from this admin for the former admins work. Obama only mentions W when he whines about what he "inherited" and why the economy is still in a hole.
Look, every President has inherited something from the previous President. They just don't use it as an excuse and crutch and whine about it.
