The first three hello's are not sin, but when you all join to sing the fourth "hello!" that most certainly is!

I have a question for BroR. Have you ever played a board game with anyone in the past few years?

  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.

But even the Irish/Celtic I like is mostly instrumental. I do have some Enya though.

I think worshipping God in music is a natural expression of human beings because music is a creative form of expression and perfect for worshipping God. However it is also a creative form of expression for talking about the human condition including love, trials, heartbreak, joy, etc, etc. I really don't think God expects us to limit music to worshipping him any more than he expects us to limit reading to the Bible.
Provided a couple of times earlier in this thread... so not sure why your asking for it again....hmmmm.

Nope... not because of any Christian conviction, I just don't enjoy them... and always thought of them being more for kids and youth. And not really sure if you're trying to compare a secular activity with that, that was secularly created, has always been secular, and is only for the purposes of secular... unless your doing mind exercises for the sake of the temple....

Bro R, so you don't approve of these SECULAR songs:

1. Happy Birthday to you...
2. Star sprangled banner...
3. We wish you a merry Xmas...
4. Barney's "I love you, you love me"...lol
5. For he's a jolly good fellow...

I don't approve??? That's a strange way to approve it... who cares if I approve or not... I don't have the final say over anything, all of what's right and wrong is determined by the Word of God.

I would think that if you read through the thread it would be pretty obvious, I believe music was originality intended to be used as only an instrument of worship/glorification of God, and that to use it otherwise is to bastardize music from it's original use.

Therefore, I do not sing Happy Birthday to anyone, except on Christmas.. and then I sing it to Jesus.

Regarding the National Anthem, I do not sing or play it, but I will stand in respect and will place my hand over my heart out of respect of my nation. I will sing God Bless America... and will play it.

The other songs... nope, won't play or sing them out of my conviction.
