Update On My Hospital Admission....

Update …..

I was admitted into the hospital Sunday due to my troponin level being elevated. The troponin is a cardiac enzyme, and usually elevates when the heart is affected, or so they say. They performed three-blood analysis. My troponin level was elevated on the first test, decreased on the second test, and increased a little on the third test (not to the initial level).

They took one chest x-ray, which was normal. They also performed an echocardiogram, which also was normal. On Monday, they wanted to perform an angiogram, inserting a wire from the groin to the heart for inspection.

I was hospitalized at the same hospital for the same situation around 14 months ago. They performed the same tests 14 months ago, including an angiogram and found nothing wrong with my heart. They did know what had caused my troponin level to elevate at that time.

What is very interesting, during both of these hospital admissions, I was seeking a deeper spiritual walk with God.

Well, on Monday they wanted to perform another angiogram. I told the E.R. doctor, “You just performed one 14 months ago.” She said, “as a doctor I must recommend it, but I think you’re fine and don’t need it.” I signed my “against medical advice” papers and was discharged.

I only had 1 ½ hours of sleep within that 24 hour period. I felt out of it, scared, etc. As I drove home, I began to weep immensely while speaking with someone on the phone. We both began to pray, and God spoke to me through the other person. This person spoke a sentence at the end of the message, and this sentence belongs to a scripture I have held onto from my youth. While going through various trials from my teenage years through my early adult years, God had always ministered to me with a specific scripture.

Within this message, God ministered to me with specific things he mentioned, and also asked me a question, “Why do you limit me?” At the end of the message, the sentence was spoken, “I’ve come to bring you life and life more abundantly.” After I heard that sentence, there was no doubt. Whenever I would go through stuff throughout my life, I would look at the clock and it was always 10:10pm. That would always remind me of John 10:10. On Monday while driving home after my discharge, God’s message through this person on the phone ended with latter part of John 10:10.

Therefore, I followed up with my primary doctor on Tuesday, and she was happy I denied the angiogram. She said doctors are dangerous. She gave me a referral to her husband’s cardiologist. She also gave me a lab slip to draw blood to check my troponin level. I received the results yesterday. My blood tests were normal. Neither she nor I understand why my troponin was elevated on Sunday.

Is this somehow a spiritual battle?

A thank you to those who prayed for me.

Re: Update On My Hospital Admission....

For starters, the obvious would be to change your avatar. If you are serious about deepening your walk with the Lord, perhaps a more appropriate, less provoking avatar would be a start, and then continue that thought process into the rest of your life.

Are there any things in your life that are displeasing to the Lord? Get rid of them, or change them. Quit looking for "signs" like 10:10 or something like that. Go on what you know, and not what you are spiritualizing. You know the word of God speaks truth.

Read the Word like you're a drowning man reaching for a raft.

If you are serious about a deeper walk with the Lord, then submit your will to His. Don't look to find your will to be done in your life, but ask for HIS will to be done.

Just for starters, these are great disciplines to begin, and if you are serious about deepening your relationship with the Lord, you need no more instruction than this. You will know what you need to do next. Once you know, you need to obey.

God Bless, and I will be praying for you.

Physical battles are scary. I will be praying for you to have wisdom during this time.

Remove my avatar? Are you telling me God doesn't have a sense of humor? I think you misunderstood. I said when I use to experience trials, it was always during the course of night, often around 10:10pm.

It's from that point that John 10:10 always ministered to me. I wasn't looking for a sign, it came looking for me.

Thanks for your advice.

Re: Update On My Hospital Admission....

Certainly, physical battles can be the Lord trying to get your attention.

Of course, the Lord has a sense of humor. I guess each to his own. I don't "get" anything funny from your avatar, but, that is just me. Carry on then if it makes you smile

Not trying to discredit your experience with the 10:10 p.m. experiences at night, but I would tend to not put much emphasis on something like that, although certainly, it can be valid. If the Lord has given you a scripture, then that is something to hold onto, as HE speaks to us from His word.

Life. It happens to us all. But I do try and eat well etc to try and be as healthy as possible. I think the best you can do is live as well as you can and know that physical stuff happens.
