OK, so im putting together something I call "Promise Passages"

A list of scriptures that I use pretty regularly in prayer, or to remind myself and others of the promises of God.

Here is a list I have now. Please add any you use/ like / are a blessing to you.

Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This [is] the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I [will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle Unregistered.

Philippians 4:19 - But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Psalms 84:11 - For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

I think my favorite promise that the Lord Jesus left us was this one:

John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you.

This doesn't mean "name it, claim it, blab it, grab it" junk! This scripture is really deep, but if you grasp hold of what it means, it will change your life!

Essentially it means this - when I have allowed the words of God to abide in me, which means they are alive in me, and are a part of me, and part of who I am, because of that, I will be in tune with the very nature and will of God, and when I pray, I will pray in His will, and will not ask for things of the flesh, but will ask that the will of GOD be perfected in my life. This is not asking for financial blessings, spiritual blessings, physical blessings etc. This is about living a life unto the Lord in such a way that my desires are for Him, and for His glory, and when I do ask for something, it will be because my very heart has become so in tune with Him, that I will not ask amiss, but will ask that all be done for HIS GLORY AND PURPOSE.

What an amazing promise this is! It is not about getting what I want, but about living and doing the will of the Lord, laying aside my own will, wants and desires, to allow HIS perfect will to become foremost in my life.

Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.

Matthew 11:28-29. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

I pray over my unsaved family and other loved ones: Acts 2:38
Also pray the 10 commandments in Matthew 19:16-19, Exodus 20
Have often prayed Psalm 1:1-4 over my family, putting each of their names in place of the pronoun.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
