New Forums here on AFF

Many of you might not realize it, but other than Fellowship Hall, there are many other forums here on AFF.

Ideally topics should be made or moved to the appropriate forum. The advantage of this is that some important topics don't get buried in the thousands of posts that are made in the Fellowship Hall. Some are very important and contain resourceful information.

Recently someone asked about working at home that was mentioned here before. It might be nice to have a forum for discussing those sort of things and where others can easily find information on these sort of things.

Recently I have added two sub-catagory forums to Deep waters. One is on Islam and the other is on Mormonism. These can be resourceful for those that might encounter these groups and want to witness to them.

Also I have added a Soul Winners area to discuss soul winning issues and announcements.

Please, if you have information to share on these issues, put them in the relevant forum areas.

Also be advised we are working on a front end that will keep you informed of new additions to each areas. Another way to keep abreast of new content is to subscribe to an RSS feed. I am not sure if this is up since the recent update or not. Perhaps Boom can address that

God bless and stay out of trouble or else

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

RSS is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. An RSS document, which is called a "feed," "web feed," or "channel," contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually.
RSS content can be read using software called a "feed reader" or an "aggregator." The user subscribes to a feed by entering the feed's link into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process. The reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds.
The initials "RSS" are used to refer to the following formats:
  • Really Simple Syndication (RSS 2.0)
  • RDF Site Summary (RSS 1.0 and RSS 0.90)
  • Rich Site Summary (RSS 0.91)
RSS formats are specified using XML, a generic specification for the creation of data formats.

Do you have Firefox?

RSS is easy with FF.

Do you use Yahoo or Google or MSN home pages?

I would prefer the subforum box to be at the bottom of the page. When it is at the top it makes you scroll down to see the active threads in the Fellowship Hall. The more subforums listed (and it seems to keep growing for some reason) the lower down the page the actual Fellowship Hall threads are.
