Re: What Are You Reading Currently, 2.0
I have finished the OT in the ESV and am in Matthew. It shouldn't be long and I will be done with another English translation of the Holy Scriptures!
Not sure what I will move to after the ESV. I am also reading Psalms in the NASB and will continue through that translation. But I usually read two translations at a time, so maybe I will read the NIV or NRSV. Not sure yet.
I purchased Dr. Alter's The Hebrew Scriptures: A Translation with Commentary a few months ago. I've already read most of it, but he was finally able to finish the entire OT and publish it as one gigantic 3-volume omnibus so maybe I will finish up his work.

Just wherever the bible opens when I pick it up. Many times I glean ideas or confirm old ideas when I read. I usually read one or two chapters at a time.
Right now I am in Roman, a few days ago I was in Palms

Just finished "Beyond the Pulpit" by Walter Sturdivan. Excellent older book on minister's personal character, practices, ethics, etc.
Just began reading "The Tabernacle: God's Worship Center" by Pauline Mason-Tolstad.

Bible reading is 1 Samuel. Other Readings are Thomas Fudge's book on C.H. Yadon, and Shadow of the Hegemon by Orson Scott Card. I believe I have another couple running at the moment, but I do not remember them currently.

Re: What Are You Reading Currently, 2.0
I recently finished two books:
How to Disappear by Akiko Busch and Against Empathy by Dr. Paul Bloom, both referenced earlier in this thread.
I also finished the NLT and began reading Psalms in the NASB. Just finished reading Matthew in the ESV. Will soon be done with my third English translation of the Bible, after the KJV and NLT.
In the meantime, I have begun reading The Origins of Satan: How Christians Demonized Jews, Pagans, and Heretics by Dr. Elaine Pagel:

Re: What Are You Reading Currently, 2.0
Bible: 2 Samuel, Psalms, Ecclesiastes and Romans. Missed some days and wasn't very consistent with my reading the last few weeks. Getting back to daily reading now.
Books: "A Guide to Expository Preaching" by Dan Dumas.
