some modern corruption versions mistranslate it as morning star, leading to a problem.

You sure it’s a mistranslation?

It's not a mistranslation. Just like Esaias posted, it was the first star which appear in the sky at dawn. Therefore it can be translated as the morning star, the star of dawn, and it would still be correct. We have to remember that during the time in which the Bible was written there was no such thing as English as we know it. Let alone Elizabethan English. Therefore all English versions from 1535 to now, would be considered "modern translations."
