Re: Dallas Metroplex Churches ?

Some Plano people were kinda of snobbish back in the day. Not the church people in particular. Don't know how it is now.

So, you just mean the pastoral staff, the city of Plano in general, or ... .

I attend church in Plano. Fantastic people, great pastor, but we're pretty progressive. I think you would probably like Bro. Flowers church. He's very good if you lean more conservative. We'd love to have you visit, though. We'll try not to be too snobby.

No, not the church people. The people that lived in Plano, had a reputation of snobbishness. I thought I said in my post not the church people. And this was back in the 60's, I have no clue about now.

I understand what you are saying, it was a stereotype of the city of Plano, but I think that has dissipated quite a bit. I went to the Plano church back in 1980 and was there when Bro. Mangun left for LA and Bro. Rigdon took the church.

You said not the church people - wasn't sure if you meant the congregation was ok, but that we had snobby leadership. I understand now.

Plano is far from conservative now... no offense to my one poster friend who goes there as I have many friends there but they do not uphold standards there at all really.
