I completely agree!!!

And when we as admin are going behind everyone sweeping their post to determine if they are being sarcastic or just plain right nasty, then that's when this becomes work and not fun.

We would like this forum to be self-moderated with little policing from admin.

So, this is a call for everyone to take a moment to self-reflect on your attitude and what your purpose is.......let's just enjoy the discussion, heated at times without all the personal attacks!

AMEN! from me. The best Adminning is the least Adminning! I will say it once again, biblically, when people have a problem with a poster, they should take it to the poster personally. If it can't be resolved, only then do we get involved. Anything else forces us to read every thread, take action on every reported post etc. That is not a self moderated board and certainly doesn't challenge people to grow.

Could you hatefully and nastily write me a check for $10,000?

Re: Can We Work On This??

We have had both lib and conservative folks post outrageous things lately with no indication it was done as satire, tongue in cheek, etc and it has caused hard feelings on both sides.

Everybody needs to realize that readers are not mind readers. They can only read what we write and don't know if we are "just doing it for a reaction", etc.

All those posts do are add fuel to the fire that does not need to be there.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
