Frankly, if I had convincing evidence that someone here was lying about something, I'd just say it straight out --no need to hide.

Unfortunately this all is starting to take on a hyena-like meanspiritedness.
I don't see what the big issue is in the first place. DV pretty much sealed his fate on credibility issues as soon as he came out with the Branham doctrines. I am getting so sick of the witch hunt mentality that is taking over this forum. It needs to stop.
Re: Quick Dr. Vaughn - Get on the Phone, U been Ro
I have disagreed with most posters on here but it has always been doctrinal or doctrinally connected. A few months ago a poster whom I had pastored posted a thread to smear me I was thankful for the support I recieved. I could have smeared this poster into silence but slander is sin. I think we must be careful if not the whole forum could become blood thirsty. Remember lynching might seem fun but when it is YOUR turn it is no longer fun nor harmless. Those I have had concerns about personally I have pmed them I have NO desire to humilate them personally. Doctrinally is a nother issue take the gloves off. But you must question the motives of a smear campaign. Today they might smear an enemy but tomorrow it could be your friend.
Re: Quick Dr. Vaughn - Get on the Phone, U been Ro
People aren't attempting to "out" Dr. Vaughn for wearing black knee high socks with his running shorts. As others have pointed out, the question is actually a legal matter. I don't know for certain that Dr. Vaughn has in fact committed a fraudulent act, but there certainly is an open question on that matter.
We do have a responsibility to know those who are among us... Do we want to entertain actual real fraud? (we are talking about a legal matter here). Further, this is not a victimless crime (if there actually is a crime). Dr. Vaughn represents himself as having matriculated from Regent College. if that is true, then there isn't a problem. if it is not true, Regent College has been violated by a fraud.
I don't see why anyone would think this is no big deal or even worse a witch hunt against the good doctor. When you offer yourself as an expert (and a PhD or ThD certainly is that), you are responsible to provide proof. that proof has certainly not been forthcoming.
I personally hope Dr. Vaughn is what he claims and backs it up. Until that happens, this is a legitimate question as far as I am concerned.

while i dont think personal attacks are right, and dont do that myself, i do think if you advertise a bunch of degrees and doctorates you better be ready to answer with the goods, although enough is enough, let the poor guy dream, lol

If my handle was "Pastor Berk" and I claimed I had X amount of congregants and preached at "that" conference... and it was discovered that I'm not a pastor.. wouldn't that be a problem? And a credibility issue!!!

A credibility issue, yes.
To be honest we know not eveyone in life tells the truth.
Sometimes forums bring that dishonesty to light...but there are other times that we may never know if someone is not telling the truth.

Sir, we would hold your feet to the fire if you came on here and claimed to have preached at certain venues in the last year and did not.
I think you wouldn't have it any other way.
Especially if when posting on important doctrinal and theological issues you flaunted your experiences and pedigree as a reason to add credibility to your view on issues that may even have eternal consequences.
Example:

The onus is on the person who has made the claims and insists they are credible on theological (doctrinally connected) matters because of them.
Pastor Epley your wealth of knowledge and experience adds credibility to your opinions. However, there are some posters (more than 1) who recently have claimed degrees from programs that don't exist. They have made the claims and not the readers and so, the buck stops with them.
Re: Quick Dr. Vaughn - Get on the Phone, U been Ro
Anyone who comes on here using an alternate screen name to hide their identity has absolutely no room whatsoever to point fingers at anyone else concerning credibility, PERIOD!
