It is ashamed that anyone would be treated wrong because of their race. Like I said, though I would prefer my kids to marry within their race, if they decided to do differently I would NEVER, EVER treat them, or anyone else, with anything other than love.
I understand Bro.Phelps,what we would do and I have been guilty,we would begin to tell a racist joke but before we would tell it,we would say I'm not racist,then we would proceed to tell a joke that would put a person of color in a bad light.

Part of what is incredible to me is that many of people who are genuinely surprised at Jeremiah Wright's ignorant views about White people do not see the parallel to some of what went on in some of the ignorant White churches. I just think that church folk ought to be somewhere above all that.

I have never understood the view of "acceptable racism" in some of the churches. In the little fellowship I was saved in, one of the elder families were bi-racial. They were some of the most God-loving and biblically-minded people I have ever known.
It has always been my opinion, that you do not judge a person by the color of their skin, the clothes on their back, the car they drive, or the value of their bank account. It's all superficial in my book.
We were all made out of dirt....some red clay, some white sand, some rich farm soil.....dirt. All dirt.
As long as my children grow up to marry someone that we can say "loves my child and loves the Lord with all their heart" that is all that matters to me.
