The world says it is not a crime unless there is a criminal conviction. god doesn't see it that way. Democrats do. The problem Obama has with his low life ethics is that he only sorta confesses when he gets busted by the newspapers.
Bro....he's a politician. The Republicans have the same kinds of issues. This is all par for the course. Obama isn't a saint. I don't believe that for a minute. All politicians make my stomach turn. But my point is that we aren't even six months into his Presidency and you guys are crying like little babies. Give it at least two years or a whole term and we can all reflect. I'll be the first to admit to the fact that he was a terrible President if indeed is proves himself to be so. All I'm saying is have some guts and patience...the man's plan isn't even off the ground. It's like complaining about a pilot's "rough flying" while the engines are just getting warmed up.

When people jump this early with the lambasting...they loose all creditability. I like the fact that most of the REAL conservatives are being REAL quiet right now...they're waiting to see what happens before they open their big mouths and possibly be found looking REAL stupid in four years.

be carefull now

You are trying to re write his promises. He had all these urgent needs to solve problems in the short term So urgent they were that when he promised to move slowly and not sign anything before waiting 5 days he pushed and shoved and tried to get rapid approval before people had a copy of legislation to read. This was because the fix would be quick and waiting would delay rapid results.

He called his plans ambitious and accused the conservatives of seeing progress as quick and strong was too ambitious for us.

Kinda like used car salesmen have urgency.
Of course now he speaks in terms of needing at least 5 years for results. 4 years not enough.

He lied thru his teeth last night. he said the 1.3 million deficit left behind by Pres Bush. No it was less than 500 billion and it was piled onto by his administration.

He is a novice or rookie and is learning a lot of basics.

His spending 900 million on rebuilding Gaza sure would pay a few house payments.

What did the CBO report regarding Bush's deficit?

In addition, can you give a source for the Gaza claim?

I'm curious...specifically what "promises" has Obama broken this early in the game?

All politicians use a teleprompter. Sadly, Bush had one too...but apparently he couldn't read. They were often upset with Bush because he'd "wander" off the teleprompter as he tried to correct his gaffs and only ended up looking dumber. lol

I do agree with you, I'm certain Obama appreciates what Bush did do...most have no idea how difficult it is to be a President. First off, no matter what you say on the stump, on your first day in office you are briefed by various agencys and you are told, "Here's what you will do Mr. President...."

While President Clinton had an issue with women, I think compared to both Bush and Obama he looks better and better.

It's too early to tell if Obama is all that bad yet. I am a little disappointed that he's bailing out banks and corporations that mismanaged investments. Let them sink. Let millions of Americans loose their pensions and retirement benefits. Let at least 4 million more loose their homes and seek emergency housing (their credit isn't going to be good enough to rent in most nicer places). Let the big three come crashing down...killing not only those jobs they provide their workers...but also let it kill the great number of suppliers and parts and software manufacturers who depend on them for business. I think it would be awesome to see the business world come crashing down in flames as a result of the corporate greed run wild. Maybe they'd know better next time...if we crawled out and became more stable than Brazil.

Seriously...MAYBE I can see bailing out the big three perhaps (with a lot of oversight). But I'd let the banks sink... It might be fun watching all the businesses that depend on line of credits to pay their employees go down in flames.
I know you are a big Obama fan, but really I would have expected you to be more informed.

One of the things he promised was he would not sign any bill until it has at least 4 days to review it and it would be placed on the internet so the "people" could read it first BEFORE he signed it.

Well we all know how he pushed the stimulus package with ONE hour to read over a 1,000 pages! The White House has gone totally nuts!

That is so true!!! Obama is getting carried away with that pen of his. I can not believe that they moved American Idol to Wednesday just to show Obama's speach.

And what about not appointing anyone that was a lobbist?

Or being the most ethical (is not paying income taxes ethical?)

Name someone in politics that hasn't been or had deep contact with lobbyists. And name one politician who hasn't been in some questionable tax scheme. Get real folks. This is all standard Washington junk. The Republicans and the Bush Administration have done the same stuff. I find it laughable how you guys cry foul on the Democrats but ignore and even deny the same behavior when your guy's in office.

I voted for him. I'm not a "big fan", I certainly have my doubts. But here's the deal...it's too early to criticize him in earnest. It will only discredit any criticism of him if all the ideologues start crying foul this early.

I see your point. However, sometimes circumstances call for immediate action while the political iron's hot. Was it a promise unfulfilled here? Sure, I'll give you that. But if by the end of his presidency he's fulfilled 75% of his promises...I'll be impressed. I'm not going to get my panties in a bunch this early. Personally....I think candidates make a lot of promises they "can't" fulfill. When they get into office and see how Washington really works...the rules often change. This isn't that big of a deal to me. Every President has their "rushed" legislation.

Bro....you obviously have no clue as to how the Bush Administration did things. This is standard political procedure anymore. It's sad...but true. It's not about Obama. It's about Washington. It's the way the system works. It's the way the advisers call on things to get done. It's a massive machine of many many people...it's not one man's doing. Anyone who tells you it is, is either lying to you or is an absolute space cadet.

I remember when Carter was interviewed, he voiced how shocked he was when his advisers and those conducting briefings sat down and said, "Mr. President...this is what you will do..." There is a machine in place right now. Obama's going to have to shake a lot of hands to get things to slow down and function even close to how he'd like it to.

People are already saying he may be worse than Jimmy Carter.
