And the whole concept of every animal hibernating reeks of the "appearance of time" argument used by nearly all young earthers. Even modern bears only hibernate for a couple of months during the coldest Winter months (which is all their body fat they spent the previous year storing will allow) and even then they are not literally asleep the whole time but frequently stirring and stretching their muscles.
Maybe Noah dropped animals off here and there before he stopped on the My Ararat.
