I was actually at the General Conference when Lance was first introduced. He was a hero. He got up and said, "Give me the key of "G" for Jesus". 1976, Anaheim.

The CLC project w/No Greater Love is one of my favorite upci projects. I know some people who were upset because they sold the album in a national christian retail chain.

Re: Worst Song In the History of Christianity
I dunno. I threw it out there more as a joke than anything. I was a kid in the 70's. I wasn't privy to general conferences. If all GC's were like the one I attended a few years ago, watching water evaporate would be more interesting.

That was a good recording and Glen will forever be one of my favorite people in the world. The people who were upset were just jealous.

No really, I remember someone doing that at a conference. Who knows....I was young at the time. The only real thing I was interested in was going to the top of the arena. THAT was exciting!!!

Most depressing song in the world.
A close second is the One-God-Tongue-Talking-Apostolic song. A person has to be able to speak in tongues in order to sing that song.
|
O I Want To See Him depresses you?
When I first converted that was one of my favorite songs. I meant it when I sang it. I don't see whats so depressing about wanting to see Jesus?!
As for the second song you mentioned, well.................

Well the teacher did not know what to do. It seems like he was shakin' in his shoo-hoos. Though I knew he meant no harm, he took me by the arm, and he said, "Son, what religion are you?"
I actually had to sing that as a solo one time. I still have nightmares.

Surely not. Your making me look like a fool laguhing at my computer screen. NOW are you serious? If so, is the tape available for a love offering?

It's hip to be negative, critical and mean spirited...I just find it humorous when they complain about the UCs doing it....
Yes I loved this song too.
