Here is the sad thing about what I just said! "that I've ever read about".
You have to read about them because we are not seeing them.
After the prayer and fasting took place and the Lord came down in a powerful way, then the repentance, the worship, the praise, the infilling of the H.G., etc.. Then everything else fell into place.

AMEN!!!

However, the Spirit of God broke loose in the service and when that happened, nobody had to ask or tell me to do anything. I made my way to the front ..... wayyyy over on one side and into a corner where I was on my face before the Lord. Well, we had a great meeting in the corner there -- He and I.
Later, I made my way back to my pew and there was a lady standing there who I could tell was really weighed down. I felt impressed to just put my arm around her and pray with her. When I did, she broke ....... and God ministered to her there in the pew. If I hadn't acted on what I felt God was telling me to do, she might not have received help and encouragement.
And if I hadn't responded to the presence of God moving into that service and moved into that place of prayer on my face in the corner, I might not have heard what I did from the Lord either.
Thank God I obeyed, on both counts.

"Thank God I obeyed, on both counts."
Yep, well done!

I'll have to think about it. I don't feel very cooperative today being Monday and all!

Sometimes we reap where we haven't sown.
We've experienced revival that came out of the blue seemingly. I say "seemingly", but I know that prayer and fasting had been going on through the years for a move of God in that community.
We just happened to come along at the right time. Many times a move of God happens when the right person is in the right place at the right time.
It doesn't mean though that prayer and fasting hadn't been a fact at some point or even ongoing through several years.

Wow, I will never forget that. I was thinking the elderly lady that may have stayed up all night in prayer because she grew up learning to pray was also a true worshipper.
But that's just me.

No, it's not just you. You're absolutely correct!
Sometimes the ones who are the most demonstrative are the most shallow.

Very true! But someone sowed or you could not have reaped.

Children in particular learn the most by example--BUT there is something to be said for instilling productive habits, such as regular church attendance, regular Bible reading, and regular prayer/devotion times. Train up a child in the way he should go....

I agree Abigail. And we lead by example. Our children learn a lot by watching their parents. The parents' attitude will be the attitude of the children.
You can learn a lot about what the parents think, say and do by watching and listening to the children.

Lord, don't we all know that! Perhaps that's why we are against the "push"!
