I appreciate humorous responses. Even the ones that push an occassional button. But to continue to drag any person or subject or idea through ridicule and then try to defend it with false soliloquies of apology under the guise of humor is less than Christian, IMO. Oh well...

For the record Old Paths I would be what most consider a conservative - of coarse many in the conservative camp would not call me that due to the fact that I refuse to make fun of and poke at individuals who do not hold the same "standard" as I. I have been there, done that, and have several tee-shirts (all long sleeve - and having dirt stains on them) to prove it. I understand the pressure to please my brethren, to preach to please them and the pressure to make sure that they do not call you a liberal. I also understand the danger of making statements such as these I am making as it will be an automatic - "yep he is a liberal" in the mind of men who feel their need to "seem" superior to anyone who understands that you do not have to compromise what you are to be kind to all men.

Lastly you were not at the meeting of WH and I, so you really have no idea what was said, how it was said or anything else, correct? So you are assuming and we all know what happens when we assume too much do we not?

Personally I am glad that you are on here OP and you do add a lot of great stuff to this forum, but you were wrong in making it appear that I said anything negative in any way toward WH.

Thank you but I did re-read and post 83 WH quotes me in what I had written while viewing the first three pages of this thread, post 84 you quoting him and it was in direct reference to our meeting and that dear brother is the post I quoted when I wrote the post that hit a little too close to home it seems.

Yes there are shots taken at WH, but again none by me........it appeared to me that you were making reference to his and my meeting when you stated that this is what happens when a lib meets a con...........sorry bro but the old turn the tables once you have been called on somethign will not work this time.........

For what it's worth:

IAM, the opening thread that Dan posted certainly left me with the impression that the whole meeting was a matter of humor to you and Dan. Since the reason for the "laughing till you puke" comment was not given, we can only assume that it had something to do with the general attitude towards WH. I mean, Dan definitely assumed that those doing the jibing would find great humor in the meeting for SOME reason.

Add your lack of defense of WH in this thread to the mix and you'll see that OP made a reasonable assumption...

As to the con/lib definitions, I don't know you but I do see that you make it clear that you distance yourself from those on this forum that bear the label "con" or "ultra-con". How else, in the context of WH, would a person label you???

Anyway, not trying to stir things up or to say that any of us have guessed right or wrong....I just want you to see the impression that has been left upon a reader who doesn't know you or WH.

How much effort would it take to clear things up???
