The secret is to move with the flow of the spirit! If most of the church is manifesting the move of the spirit in worship and you are not moving. Well?

Absolutely! Very true!

Really .... this topic is a very interesting one but not simplistic. We can't say there is never a time to push because there is, but again, I like to think "encourage" rather than push. But even so, "push" doesn't always have to be a negative thing.

I so appreciate the great worship, freedom TO worship, and desire for a move of God in a church like the one I'm attending.

I've been in services where I "felt" very little. I could see and I knew the presence of God was there, and I could see others receiving a blessing, but for myself there wasn't a lot of emotion. Not because I was resistant or anything like that 'cause I wasn't. I love worship and I love to worship God! And I was involved in the service - playing piano or organ, etc.

It happens very seldom, but my point is just because I didn't feel a lot doesn't mean that I was uninvolved or resistant or that God wasn't there. He was!

"I've been in services where I "felt" very little"

I think those times come to everyone. But it should not be that way all of the time. And it is with some people.

How do you know though? How do you know that they're not "feeling" something? Some people are just very quiet and unemotional. Doesn't mean that they aren't being touched necessarily. Does it?

Have you ever be shocked by electricity? You get hit by the power of God you will move. Or....

I just can't imagine why God would do that.
God has never spoken to me in anger but I do know He has been grieved and sorrowful at times. And sometimes it seemed I could almost hear Him *sigh* in an aggravated kind of way because of my stupidity, willfulness, and slowness to obey. I think that sometimes He kind of 'turns His ear away' because we haven't met the conditions necessary for receiving a promise or what we need from Him. I've felt that before.

Disobedience affects faith. We can't have confidence in praying or believing that our need will be met because we know that we're not meeting the conditions for Him to really truly "hear" us in the sense that He will answer.

In that case, we're really just wasting His time and ours.
