You know what they say, "If the heats too hot, get out of the kitchen!"

Otherwise, from experience, I enter in with worship and allow Him to open my thoughts and my mind into the direction He wants me to go - into what He wants me to pray - thoughts He wants me to have.
When we come together as a body, we are in more unity of Spirit.

I'm a very strong believer in this.....
(1Co 14:18) I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:
Not that I think I do, but I sure do believe in praying much that way.

The person leading pre service prayer (we have an hour of prayer & a five or ten minute prayer to usher us in) had to push to overcome the nasty attitude in the atmosphere.
We broke through.
Worship started & the worship leader "pushed" a little bit in the singing and everyone
(most everyone) broke through to a mighty worship victory.
There were tongues & interpretation.
Alas, the meeting did not go well. They left in a huff!
I agree, there shouldn't be pushing but in some circumstances it is needed.
BTW, the person who gave the tongues is a 60 sister & this is her first service to do that!!!

Praise the Lord. I'm sure she was blessed.
Ron,
When you say "pushed" a bit, how did he do that? Could you feel he was aggravated or was he leading, in a gentle way, where you would not have known the situation unless you were a part?

Amen, I have been surprised, many times, at what the Lord actually wanted me to pray about! Not one thing on my mind when I first entered into my time of prayer.
Big lesson! We are coming to a time where we must be lead by the Spirit - in all things! It's not our church! It belongs to Him. We do not know the hearts of all men!
